ACCOUNTABILITY
Wait! Wait! Wait! Let's make things clear about accountability.
Thing is... each of our creators takes full authorship and responsability for the character –or characters– he owns and commit to, including all related songs, interviews, quotes, statements and images released. With that clear, don't forget that we're portaying fictional characters.
As writers, we are quite used to dramatize reality, sometimes to force things into action, and often to make use of narrative devices –like twists and cliffhangers– but we are not just mocking life.
As authors, we observe and we listen and we get inspired by life itself. Ordinary events, old and new places, chatter among friends, any weird fact heard, any new experience had, even any big issue at the news. We soak up all this, then we refine it and we serve the public a blend with a unique aroma and taste, where emotions, raw materials, even specific sources of inspiration are still detectable.
Personal involvement, therefore reliable committement, are clearly perceptible. Shouted in capital letters or whispered between the lines.
So, yeah. We take credit and accountability for our stories and poetry.
But don't ask us if what we're doing nowdays is worth doing it, or fair. We're pioneers. We're explorers. We're forerunners. We're flying blind. We are the first authors to venture –firsthand– in what lies behind the Fourth Wall. We're breaking down barriers, and taking you all with us.
Let's leave to tomorrow's academics evaluations and judgments about our artistic and cultural impact! For now... just enjoy the ride with us...
